Hareline Extra Select Craft Fur are fantastic synthetic fibers 10-15 cm long, making it the best craft fur on the market. It is an excellent material to tie pike streamers, trout streamers, and imitations of fish for predators in both freshwater and saltwater. Once wet it becomes very thin and gives at the streamers very beautiful and natural movements. It can be comfortably modeled and shaped at will by using scissors. To tie these fibers to the hook it is recommended to use strong threads like Power Thread.
The Craft Fur can be tied in various ways: simply straight, Hollow that is forward and then flipped back to give even more volume, or in a loop by doubling the thread with the special tool and inserting it inside the slot using the long pliers D-Loops Tweezer. With the Brush Wire it can also be used to create beautiful brushes. It can be easily combined with both streamer feathers and other synthetic fibers such as chenille, long fiber dubbing such as Baitfish Supreme or Laser Dub, and at will add other flash such as Crystalflash, Holographic Fibers and Saltwater Blend Angel Hair. Combining it with tungsten beads, you can tie beautiful little streamers for trout lake, perch and shad. While combining it with the bucktail it is also perfect for the tails, bodies and heads of large trout streamers such as the Marmo Streamer. To make the streamers tied in Extra Select Craft Fur even more imitative, you can combine the 3D Epoxy Eyes, and cover them with UV glue as in the surf candy. Or as seen in Eddie's Baitfish Streamer, clouser minnows can be tied with chain eyes or colored lead eyes. You can also imitate streaks on the back, and imitations of gills or fins by coloring the fibers with Copic Sketch Markers. The wide range of colors allows you to create a wide range of combinations and dressing.
