Hareline Mangum's Original Mini Dragon Tail UV2 are 15 cm long, conical and extremely soft synthetic tails. Ideal to tie pike streamers, large trout streamers, bass and predators in general both freshwater and saltwater. They have been subjected to a special treatment that makes them react to UV rays, in order to further stimulate the attack of the fish. To secure them safely on the hook it is recommended to tie them using thread that resist strong tensions such as Power Thread. They are very comfortable because, in a moment the tail of the fly is already made, and just make a turn of chenille on the shank of the hook, and then a head that can be made in Bucktail, Craft Fur, Supreme Wing Hair and others synthetic fibers. It is possible to lengthen these tails and increase their effectiveness, by tying a Wiggle Tail or Dragon Tail on the top, again using Power Thread and UV glue. They can be tie both on straight hooks and on jig hooks like the CS86X-J60 to make flies that work reverse with less risk of catching on the bottom.
