Keough Half Saddle Grade #1 Dry Fly are highly selected half rooster saddles, whose long feathers (about 25-30 cm) are perfect to tie dry flies all of the same size in series. Inside these saddles there is a range of feathers that allows you to tie dry flies, terrestrial, sedge, emergents on hooks from size #16 to #8 with a prevalence of feathers excellent for sizes #14 and #12. With the large feathers of the lower part you can create streamer bodies and tails by combining them with flash and synthetic fibers, while with the fibers of each single feather you can tie tails of nymphs or perdigons. An essential product for fly tying, covering a large number of dressings. You can tie hunting dry flies such as the Royal or the Stimulator, classic flies such as the Red Tag, imitative dry flies such as the Ephemera White, the Ephemera Olive and the March Brown. With the fibers of the largest feathers, nymphs such as Sand Violet, Jig Pt. and the mythical White Black can be tied. Rooster feathers can also be combined with dubbing or chenille to make terrestrial bodies like in Eddie's Bugger or for streamers like D.F. Wiggle Streamer. With the largest feathers you can also imitate the legs of large top water flies such as the Dragonfly for Black Bass fishing. By tying them with the mounting thread to the fibers of Antron Yarn, you can tie beautiful parachute flies such as the Emerger Parachute Rooster Quill, the March Brown Parachute and the Fly Ant.
