Pheasant tail feather is a beautiful natural material that has many uses in the fly tying world. Hare where the tinsel is the Pearl Tinsel Small. You can also tie tails and bodies of dry flies, spider and wet flies like the Spider R.T. Special Grayling. The fibers of these feathers are extremely imitative, in fact they can also be used to make terrestrial legs, sedge wings and antennae, wing cases of emergent and pupae. The fibers can be reinforced during assembly by putting a drop of glue on the shank of the hook before wrapping them, or when using them to tie the wing cases you can put a drop of UV glue on top of them once they are fixed.
