Solarez Color - Fluorescent Grape - 5gr
Solarez UV glues are special glues that react to UV rays, passing from liquid to solid state when subjected to them. They have various uses in the world of artificial fly tying. The range of these glues allows you to have a dedicated glue for each specific need. Once catalyzed, the Thin and Thick leave a shiny and rigid product, they are ideal to tie perdigons and wing bag covers of nymphs and wet flies, but also for shaping synthetic fibers and covering eyes in streamer heads. They differ only in density, in fact Thin is more liquid than Thick. Then there is the Flex, with a medium density, which once catalyzed leaves an elastic and soft product, usable for streamer heads, shrimp imitations and saltwater flies, but also as an alternative use for the repair of waders or for connections and knots between the line and the leader or backing. Another type is the Ultra Thin, which is even more liquid than the Thin, and leaves a rigid and super shiny product that does not lose its shine. The latter is perfect for finishing, giving a further layer to the perdigons, covering the heads and closing knots, covering quills and tinsel in the bodies of nymphs, dry and emerger flies. The Ultra Thin also exists in an Ultra Thin Black version. Finally there are the Solarez Color which are the colored ones, whose wide range of colors allows you to create a wide range of combinations and dressing. With them you can make spots and collars of nymphs, wet flies, emergers, perdigons, create eyes of freshwater and saltwater streamers. Solarez UV glues can be easily catalysed with the special Solarez UVA Flashlight High Output lamp. And for the 2oz (59ml) bottles you can adapt the Solarez Syringe-Cap Applicator 2oz kit to be even more precise when dispensing the glue.
Solarez Color UV glues are ideal for many uses, such as wing bags of nymphs and perdigons, spots and bodies of nymphs, wet flies, emergers, but also streamers heads, bodies and eyes. They are compatible with other Solarez UV glues and can therefore be coated with other layers without problems. They have a processing density that is medium, that is halfway between the Thin and the Thick. They are packaged in a glass bottle with a brush dispenser. To spread it on the fly you can either use the brush attached to the cap directly or pass it from the brush to the tying bodkin.
How to use: spread the glue without exposing it to light, irradiate it with UV light for 1 second, wait 15 seconds, irradiate it again for 1 second, wait a moment, irradiate for 10 seconds. This technique will reduce shock and shrinkage while providing excellent catalyst.
Packaging: 5gr glass bottle with brush.
