Zonker Rabbit are 4mm wide rabbit fur strips ideal to tie streamer tails and bodies. It is a very soft material that in water gives a very natural movement to the fly. It can be cut with scissors to get the desired length based on the size of the hook you are tying on. To secure it better, it is recommended to tie it with threads that resist high traction such as Power Thread. It can be matched with tungsten beads, dubbing and chenille to tie flies such as Streamer Jig Zonker Beige and Streamer Zonker Brown. Combining it with Sculpin Heads and Wiggle Tails you can tie Wiggle Sculpin streamers. With this material you can also tie streamers for perch and pike entirely in Zonker such as the Bunny Fly. It can be paired with other natural materials such as Strung Guinea feathers to mimic fins when tying imitations of bullheads, gobies and small minnows. It combines perfectly with long fiber dubbing, Laser Dub, synthetic fibers like Craft Fur and flashes like Crystalflash and Angel Hair. You can also cut from the skin and fit the fibers into a buttonhole by taking them with pliers to create very fluffy heads or bodies. The wide range of colors allows you to create a wide range of combinations and dressing.
