Aurino river: grayling and trout

From 2017 to the present I have had the good luck to fishing, several times, in Aurino river with dear friends from different areas of Italy, but united by a single passion: Fly Fishing!

This river follows the course of the Adige river and its tributaries, that is: fishable in March/April, then unfishable for melting snow in summer, and finally fishable again from September to November.

In the years I was able to see it in both periods. At the beginning of spring it is certainly very hard, given the very low minimum temperatures of the night, and the snow in the valley that makes the water not freezing ... more! While in the autumn, the hatches are more abundant and consequently the activity of the fishes.

Fishes, the grayling is certainly the undisputed king of these waters, big and powerful, they are a real lust to undermine a nymph, then if they rise up... we don't talk about it! In addition to the grayling, there are several trouts, many hybrids, some rainbow trouts, beautiful big marble trouts, and large brown that are the master in the deepest waters, an excellent opportunity to also unleash the streamer!

From the nymph, to the dry with very little flies, to the streamer... an area that I recommend to try!
